Aragoke Mukashi Ogon

I can see this one being quite popular. This again is Aragoke Mukashi from Yamazan. This is like a fully scaled mirror Carp as my dad would say (if you're into your angling.) The entirety of the Koi is just layered with these big armour, plated scales. Lovely metallic shine. The the breeder does an awful lot of varieties and a lot of breeders are now spending more time developing these Doitsu Aragoke varieties because there is a gap forthem. I think the introduction of window ponds has just added a different dimension to the way people view their koi. Perhaps historically a lot of breeders were a little bit loathed to start getting involved with the development of these varieties but obviously when there's a change in market the breeders also have to diversify and adapt to market demands. If the demand is there then it's a commercial decision for each farm to make.
