HQ Gin Rin Kohaku // Taniguchi // Inc Narita Cup Entry

I am a real fan boy of Taniguchi. Whatever variety this breeder takes to, he always impresses. Innovation, genetics, modern raising techniques, this breeder is very much the pinnacle of Nishikigoi breeding. The mindset of this breeder is different to many in Niigata and I really admire this. You have a breeder who produces world class Go Sanke and Goshiki and then casually produces some of the most unique varieties on the planet such as Golden Corn and his Aragoke Kawari. This individual boasts super Hiroshima Gin Rin and a super body line for such a young Koi. The Beni pattern is very much suited to a Koi with more body mass so for me it is an exciting piece moving forward.

This individual will be raised in Japan until mid April and will then be entered into the 5th Narita Cup ( see details below). The price is the fish price ONLY, shipping will be an additional charge but this will be charged at cost to keep costs to a minimum.

Following the great success of last year, we are excited to announce that the No.1 Koi Cup will be held again this year!

All selected koi will be kept free of charge in each breeder's concrete pond until April. In mid-April, the koi will be judged at the No.1 Koi Cup Show, and the results will be released via video.(Judging video available in Japanese only)

As in last year, we will be presenting 50 selected tosai from each of four breeders, delivered over two weeks. The participating breeders are Matsue Nishikigoi Center, Beppu Koi Farm, Omosako Koi Farm, and Taniguchi Koi Farm. Part II will feature koi from Omosako Koi Farm and Taniguchi Koi Farm.
