This is Hoshikin Kohaku. The main fish house is situated almost opposite Dainichi Niigata and since the first time I went to this farm I was hooked. Immaculately presented with the most insane Kohaku in Japan. The Beni type is very famous and generates this glossy, lacquered appearance. They typically attain good sizes and in the right environments grow pretty rapidly. Really attractive Yondan (4 Step pattern) and that Kuchibeni (lipstick) make for Kohaku for of quality and character.

Hoshikin
Hoshikin Koi farm is an immaculately laid out Koi farm that produces some of Niigata's best Kohaku. The farm in recent years has also taken on Showa and Shiro production which unsurprisingly have a very high standard and are now competing on the biggest stage in Japan. The body and Beni type that Masayuki Hoshino is exceptional.
