This is Hoshikin Kohaku. The main fish house is situated almost opposite Dainichi Niigata and since the first time I went to this farm I was hooked. Immaculately presented with the most insane Kohaku in Japan. The Beni type is very famous and generates this glossy, lacquered appearance. They typically attain good sizes and in the right environments grow pretty rapidly. Very much a pattern type that will open up as the body starts to build. Skin and Beni quality are very typical of the calibre I have come to expect from this breeder. Nice Odome and the white face always set the Koi nicely from a pattern perspective. Delivery can be made from £30 per box Nationwide. Collection is also welcome from MK17, just a few minutes from junction 13 M1.

Hoshikin Koi farm is an immaculately laid out Koi farm that produces some of Niigata's best Kohaku. The farm in recent years has also taken on Showa and Shiro production which unsurprisingly have a very high standard and are now competing on the biggest stage in Japan. The body and Beni type that Masayuki Hoshino is exceptional.
