What a piece this is from Maruyama This singular beni pattern is known as Ippon Hi and is very much a pattern type that's going to suit a bigger body type. Kiwa and sashi are very refined and in very good condition. If you're into showing fish, this is a very technical Koi moving forward. Little bit Kuchibeni (Lipstick pattern) on the face as well which is always a nice touch an adds that little bit of character. Skin is absolutely glowing at the moment. We're going to see with this particular example, as that body gets bigger, these little intricate windows of shiroji are going to become quite pivotal to the overall harmony of the fish. Very technical odome at the back of the fish (Tail stop) and a nice white face give a great impression. It's a very promising fish moving forward. Bodyline is very good, skins in great condition. I know it's my job tosell the fish, but yeah, it really is a top piece fish that really really excites me. Moving forward I would say show scene maybe in 12 months time because we do need that that shiroji to open up and display the excellent kiwa along the lateral which will become more evident as you get more body mass. That's going to help from a technical perspective. One of my top pieces from Maruyama and a beautiful fish moving forward.
