Kohaku from Maruhide

A really simple but impactful Sandan pattern (3 step) is a timeless classic for Kohaku. It is a pattern style that really compliments this variety given a great balance of Shiroji and Beni. If you like the strong shoulder & body height on your Koi then check out the side profile on this Koi in the video, it’s absolutely massive. This body type from this breeder probably won’t provide an 80cm + body but it will generate that very strong, almost aggressive body style that I love to see. To develop that height at such a young age tells me this will carry it forward. Fast forward a couple of years & you’ll see that aggressive body playing out. It’s not for everyone this body style & it’s influenced from breeders like Dainichi, where the Koi carry a lot of weight at the front of the Koi, almost like a body builder that has massive shoulders.

This koi is currently in Japan & will ship on the next shipment availability from Narita. There will be additional shipping fees but I will calculate it nearer the time. I estimate £50-£70 should be okay. Reason I do this as Narita Koi Farm packs differently so to avoid any surprises I charge for shipping when the farm calculates the shipping density. The Koi will then undertake QT & then we can arrange collection or delivery.

Collection is also welcome from MK17, just a few minutes from junction 13 M1. Please note payment MUST be made within 7 days, failure to do so will result in the Koi being relisted.
