Kohaku from Nishiki Maruhide

This breeder is really starting to gain some attention, having taken multiple awards on the Japanese show scene in the last few years. I like this Sandan (3 step) style of Kohaku as its pattern style only comes to fruition when the Koi starts to gain body mass and size. At this point the Shiroji starts to frame the Beni plates which adds a lot more pattern harmony and will suit a bigger bodied Koi. Kiwa and sashi is in a very technical condition. The head pattern is well placed moving forward and with time, the transition from head to the body will improve, this can be quite typical on young Go Sanke. The Koi possess a lovely flow and body line that will lend itself well moving forward and gaining body volume.
