Kirin from Wada

This variety is now being produced by Wada in numbers but although its not an exclusive variety to this farm, you certainly don't find many elsewhere in Japan and not of the calibre this farm produces. Created originally by crossing Nezu Ogon with Kujaku, this line has now been refined to produce a unique variety with consistency. The top examples display this intense Yellow pigment with refined Matsubamon within each scale but this can often come with time so it is not unusual for it not to be overly evident as Tosai. This example has a super body line, great skin lustre and a very attractive pattern.
