Shiro Utsuri

Wow, what a super example from one of the best in the business at Shiro Utsuri. The Ogata line is heavily influenced by Omosako Shiro Utsuri so they have a strong trait for growth and body style. Throw in the very reliable Sumi style and great Utsuri patterns, they make for very attractive Koi. If we break this particular Koi down, we can see some great show attributes moving forward. The Ichimatsu (Chequerboard) pattern whereby each area of white is opposed by black is very pleasing. With any Shiro Utsuri the vividness of the Shiroji (white) is paramount as the brighter it is, the better the appearance of the Sumi. When they are both in great condition as with this Koi is, then you have a great Koi moving forward. The Sumi needs to form in certain areas still and at that point if you keep the body volume up, it will be a very show worthy Koi in the UK. You will see that the windows of Shiroji will be very important moving forward and with body mass and size, these will become far more apparent. A very clean example that I have high hopes for. You can really see the skin attributes in greater detail on the video, something that is hard to capture in a still image.
