Kohaku from Matsue

I have been a huge admirer of Matsue Koi farm for years. Certainly in Japan the farm is held is very high regard, I think perhaps because they are not based in Niigata, a lot of dealers don't buy from the farm but that is certainly not a reflection on the quality the farm produces. Certainly those hobbyists who are familiar with this farm will be very aware of their Kohaku style. The farm produces some very big Kohaku and couple this with very floral, attractive Beni patterns, they make for very technical, show worthy Koi. This individual has a great flow to the pattern, with multiple, floral dans (step of pattern), all of which have well refined sashi and Kiwa. A bit of more volume will compliment the Koi nicely and with this clean, crisp style it really is an attractive Kohaku for the future and one that has potential to do well on the show scenes in the UK.
