Shiro Utsuri

When the Menware forms and the body volume increases this will do well at Koi shows around the UK. Excellent show style patterning with this textbook Ichimatsu (chequer boardd) sumi pattern. For every bit of sumi placement there is opposing shiroji which is the archetypical Utsuri pattern style judges love to see. The excellent contrast between black and white is superb and the Koi has a very clean image. Another variety that this farm is world renowned for, the Ogata Shiro Utsuri line has strong genetic connections to Omosako and the Sumi comes up very early so they make for excellent show Koi in their younger years as they are extremely clean, display a high degree of contrast and have a very finished appearance. Some Shiro lines are very much slow burners but the Ogata line is very easy to read and with their genetic characteristics they certainly grow rapidly also.
