Pearl Gin Rin is al but exclusively produced in numbers at only two farms, Sekiguchi Koi farm, Koda and Kase (Koshiji) Koi farm. Sekiguchi mostly produces Benigoi but Kase has managed to expand into the pearl Gin Rin to multiple varieties such as Chagoi, Ochiba, Soragoi, Kohaku and a few others. The ability to firstly produce pearl Gin Rin and then stabilise it is the stumbling block for many breeders, in this sense it is not much of a commercial proposition to produce this variety so I really respect the innovation and determination of such breeders. It is to be fair, a very beautiful Gin Rin type and the one of the things we want to see is perfect refinement within the scale, total coverage throughout the Koi and symmetrical positioning within each scale. This is a super clean example of a variety that I am naturally very fond on. Beautiful tone of colour and excellent body type make for an exciting prospect.
