You would be forgiven for thinking this is Kohaku and not Goshiki. Some of Taniguchis Goshiki can be late bloomers and this is such an example. The more finished Koi were going for vast sums but had inferior skin and Beni plates so for me this seemed like a no-brainer given the outstanding qualities the Koi possesses. A wonderful Beni plate is complimented perfectly by almost handcrafted Sashi and Kiwa. I have much experience with Taniguchi Goshiki and I know how they respond in our hard water. If you have faith and patience in my vision then this promises to be a great buy.
