Kohaku from Marujyu inc Azukari in Japan

Recently acquired at a recent breeders auction, I have a soft spot for this breeder. Shigeyoshi San is a great character and very well respected breeder in Niigata and boasts an immaculate fish house and in recent years a newer facility a few miles away. The breeder is big on body characteristics and often you see this with very aggressive body styles that carry a lot of weight and height. As they grow you can really benefit from this body type and certain pattern styles really play out nicely with this style.

This Koi is actually very reminiscent of koi I purchased from Shigeyoshi about 6/7 years ago. The body and pattern characteristics are very similar and this particular Koi went on to grow to a serious size and did very well on the show scene. The price includes a Summer growing in Japan which I hope you will agree for this quality is a very attainable price point. Shipping will need to be calculated come Autumn when the ponds are harvested or we can assess the Koi to see the potential for entering any Koi shows in Spring in Japan.
