One of my top Sekiguchi pieces from this batch from Sekiguchi Koi farm. I am a huge fan of Sekiguchi Showa, the brothers are a charismatic duo that excel in this variety. Sumi type and strong Beni plates are pretty standard stuff from this farm. This is just one of many reasons that dealers around the world flock to this farm. You know there is real quality when Narita is heavily invested in a farms Koi. In Japan they do extremely well on the show scene and the technicality and skin type is right up there with the best.
If you like heavier pattern styles then this is going to be right up your street. A beautifully stepped Beni pattern is complimented by deep, emerging Sumi. You can all but put your house on the Sumi forming further, its very indicative of this type of Showa from Sekiguchi. Body line is very good for a young fish and I the quirky head pattern just adds that bit of character we all love to see.
